Ive always interpreted this apology as a means for Aamir to clarify the issue, not to clear his guilt, as not all apologies are driven by guilt.Actually, the original meaning of apology 'apologos is not negative at all. It means: a formal defense against an accusation. In that sense, Aamir apologized as a matter of clarification, not to ask forgiveness for a mistake he felt guilty for. It seems like he was only sorry for how the people mistook that joke, not for the joke itself.

The word ISLAAM ONLY means "Submiting your Will to The All-Mighty God"...meaning, giving up your desires to make the All-Mighty God Happy and to Follow HIS Laws.
