I believe it in a heartbeat. Look at it this way Matt, like Tommy James and a few others, I have emailed the Rock n Roll Joke of Fame, because that is what they are until groups as mentioned get proper recognition. It is a popularity contest by record labels to sell more "crap". Threshhold is no longer around so there is no label or manager to push them to their proper place, just like Roulette for Tommy James. Take satisfaction in knowing they are a group and many others think so as well.

Aahhh, the legendary Rolling Stone hate of The Moody Blues. :-) I assume you got their book from a few years ago. The previous edition was from the early nineties. A lot of RS's views have changed between publishings, but not on The Moodies. They still don't know a good band when they hear one.

I always wondered what Ray Thomas did when not singing or playing the flute. The answer is, not much.

I loved them from the beginning...when Denny McClain was their lead singer.

Yeah, it's like they despise ANYTHING that seems slightly "pretentious." As if rock and roll isn't for any type of "preaching" or show. Then what exactly do they want from rock music? I couldn't believe in the same book they actually gave favorable reviews to Grand Funk Railroad (whom I LOVE, but early GFR instead of the latter). They used to HATE Grand Funk! It's funny. |
