This was a pretty amazing performance, because it seemed to me that Eric was struggling a little: His lines after the first time through the changes sounded a bit stale and uninspired, and it wasn't until he began to loosen up a bit and just blow a bit that things started to come together. By the end of the piece he's doing some really scorching runs. This was revealing and more than a little inspiring.

Eric Jhonson plays well, most are no big deal
Van Hallen to me is much more beautiful music than Eric.
You have to understand that this is like, then do not talk that Herman Li does not ring with emotion because I like the land of them, because it's my taste.
Do not talk nonsense saying that Eric is the best because it is neither in the top 20 on a list of good guitar player, so I speak from experience, more if you prefer the soils of them then yes you are talking about something right.

I have no idea why anyone would say EJ repeats himself. Aside from scale patterns and such, there are alot of performances of Cliffs of Dover with an extended and improvised intro; I don't see many players do that.
