That doesn't make sense at all... because she is a film star and why is she the only one that had to gain weight and not the other actors? They should of just let her be the size she was because this is suppose to be an English movie and English people are all about looking good and maintaining a ideal weight.

The director asked her to intentionally gain weight, so she would appear as a normal person and not as a film star.
