in a theoretical sense, yes, if one country can have nukes, others should; however, this is merely theoretical and idealistic. history is replete with examples of regimes that would have been a liability to the world if they had had nukes. nazi germany comes to mind. not all regimes are stable enough to take a risk of them having nukes. THAT is the reality of the world we live in.

if the middle east is to develop they need to do one key thing: a) provide a stable political environment that is conducive to building an economy. the middle east, despite its wealth of natural resources, does not have any other industry to speak of. there is no saudi arabian computer chip, no jordanian auto mobile, no egyptian cell phone. there is nothing. why is it that there are so many brilliant people from the middle east. I see them here everyday!

Deurty you raise a good point regarding rockets V infrastructure. Most PS scholars would agree that they are related. Some claim (Such as Huntington) that the west does not want ME to develop. And so if the ME is to develop they have to have a strong military to develop in peace. In this respect, it is clear that Iran's nuclear will not be a threat. But the US have to change its attitude towards the situation. or else it risks turning Iran into a threat.

Luvahman67 you will need to source you're info please. They are very inaccurate. One thing you can do is do a tally sheet and count how many do Israeli's kill when they are fighting terrorism. And how many the entire Muslim world kills (including crime) in the entire world. And let me know how it works out.

We might disagree in some points but bottom line if Israel is allowed to have nuclear weapons, so are the rest. Now the rest of your argument is just you wandering around.

wow that was a lot of substance applied there, you made an excellent point substantiating anything with fact. Make declarative statements about people you know nothing about but hate because you were taught to. Respect? How about value for life? How about strapping bombs to children? How about giving children a machine gun and brainwashing them to hate? this is what palestinian leadership has done for the last 60 years while putting millions in their swiss bank accounts.

well when their government spends tens of millions of dollars on rockets rather than building infrostructure for the betterment of their people that's what happens. Palestinian state never existed according to Islam their is no state just a caliphate

What a line of crap! You can't talk straight to save your soul. Do you worry about your soul? Is this conflict really going in your favor? People with nothing have nothing to lose. The only thing you have nothing of seems to be respect.

Israel is Taboo in the US. You will not find one politician from any branch of government saying anything critical of Israel no matter what action they take.
Read the book "The Israel Lobby" by Walt Mearsheimer to get an understanding why this is. |
