Yeah it's true...poeple on other continents just cannot differentiate Asians. I've had people walk up to me and say "Konichiwa!" even though there's clearly a HUGE diff between Chinese and Japanese. And they always go "oh...how do you say welcome in Singapore?" WELCOME!
